Alexander Technique for Music Educators

A child plays violin outside in the fall

Greetings, my name is Hannah Greene and I am reaching out to let you know I am offering Alexander Technique lessons, classes, and workshops in the Acton area. I grew up in Concord, played the violin in BYSO, and sang with the Yale Glee Club. I was certified at Boston Conservatory at Berklee through a 3-year, 1600-hour Alexander technique training course. Currently, I sing in the Alto section with Nashoba Valley Chorale. For more about my background, visit my website.

In honor of Genevieve Osborn, my first Suzuki violin teacher, and all of the music teachers who inspired me and guided me as a young person, I would like to give back and support music educators today.

For new students who are music educators and professional musicians, I am offering:

The Alexander Technique supports musicians as a tool for embodying wholeness, supporting pain-free playing/singing, coping with performance anxiety, preventing injury, and recovering from laryngitis, repetitive stress injury, and tendinitis. Lessons take place in person in the Acton/Concord area or online.

Give yourself some TLC and invest in your health and wellbeing!

30% off First Private lesson

Whether you are completely new to the Alexander Technique or would like to revisit the practice, come try it out! We will discuss your goals, do some hands-on work, and collaboratively find ways to support you in your life as a musician.

Package Deal: 5 Private Lessons at regular price, 6th lesson 50% off

If you are ready to dive in for a series of lessons, the package deal offers an even steeper discount. Recommit to practices that support the whole of you as a musician. Find more ease with your voice/instrument, develop a deeper level of sensory awareness, and free yourself up for greater creative expression.

*I offer lessons on a sliding scale between $75 and $100 per hour. A 30% discount would bring the scale down to $52.50 to $70 per hour. A 50% discount would be $37.50 to $50 per hour. Please choose an amount that fits with your budget and honors my work.

Terms and conditions: Fall discounts only apply to private one-on-one lessons and not group classes. The discount expires November 30, 2025. First lessons must be booked by 11/30; package deals can continue beyond that date.

Please contact me to book your lesson today!

I am a professional violist/violinist who has struggled with performance related injuries and I started working with the Alexander Technique as a tool for supporting my physical and mental wellbeing. About a year ago, I began taking lessons with Hannah and it has been wonderful. She is incredibly compassionate and knowledgeable, as well as thoughtful in her approach to teaching. Hannah guides each lesson with a gentle direction that allows space for whatever is coming up that day, and as a result I always leave feeling more grounded and at ease in my body’s movements. I highly recommend Hannah to anyone who is considering beginning or continuing their work with the Alexander Technique!
