Testimonials
I have had the honor and privilege to work with people from all walks of life. So far in my teaching journey, I have worked with string players, brass players, opera singers, choral singers, conductors, educators, full-time parents, people with Parkinson’s disease and their caregivers, a nurse, a doula, retirees, a physical therapist, a biotech worker, and a communications specialist! All to say that the Alexander Technique is for everyone. Read on for a few testimonials from my current and past students.
Hannah Greene is a compassionate and thoughtful teacher. Working with her, and learning about the Alexander technique in one-on-one lessons, was a highlight of my first year studying for my master’s degree in Boston. I appreciate that Hannah allowed me to guide my own learning, while also providing insight into concepts that I had never encountered beforehand!

When I began the six-week trial with Hannah, I had no idea what the Alexander Technique was or what to expect. I’ve had chronic back pain for many years and Hannah had also mentioned that this technique could teach me how to more properly hold my head/neck when singing. I went with an open-mind yet still retained a bit of skepticism. From the very first lesson I felt an extraordinary and unexpected peace as Hannah talked me through the various concepts and helped me focus on my posture, grounding and breathing. She used touch that was barely touching which helped me relax and change my standing posture or supine position almost magically. Clearly this is not magic, but an expertise Hannah has developed in a very interesting and beneficial practice. I would recommend trying it out.

I am a professional violist/violinist who has struggled with performance related injuries and I started working with the Alexander Technique as tool for supporting my physical and mental wellbeing. About a year ago, I began taking lessons with Hannah and it has been wonderful. She is incredibly compassionate and knowledgeable, as well as thoughtful in her approach to teaching. Hannah guides each lesson with a gentle direction that allows space for whatever is coming up that day, and as a result I always leave feeling more grounded and at ease in my body’s movements. I highly recommend Hannah to anyone who is considering beginning or continuing their work with the Alexander Technique!
